Dear Football Alumni,

As we are already preparing for next season, I would like to send out a large thank you to the alumni that I met at the golf outings, casino nights, recognition nights, and the alumni dinners.  Trying to meet as many alumni as possible, and then remembering everyone's name is tough, so please don't hesitate to step up and introduce yourself to me again.

As my time here at Slippery Rock continues, my staff and I are trying to put a push on gathering as much information about our alumni as we can.  I know several staff members have met some alumni at different community events and have started asking for information.  Please know that my goal is to get the alumni and each current team connected, so we can learn as much about the history of Rock football as we can.  One of the ways I would like to do that is to invite all of the alumni to our annually alumni dinner.  This years dinner will be held on Thursday, September 19th, the night before we play Grove City.  I understand what it means to play our rival, and I would like our players to hear from the guys who experienced that feeling first hand.  Please plan to join us, as we will start dinner at 6:00, with a guest speaker to follow.

Thank you to all of the people that I have met so far and making it a great experience' and I look forward to many more moving forward.
